Government sets up National Board for Electric Mobility

More than six years when it had been approved by the UPA government, the Centre has established  NBEM to push electrical quality and producing of electrical (& hybrid) vehicles and their elements.
The Union cupboard chaired by former Prime Minister Minister Manmohan Singh had on March thirty one, 2011 cleared the proposals for launch of the National Mission for electrical quality and putting in of a National Board for electrical quality (NBEM) and National Council for electrical quality.
The NBEM can examine, formulate and propose the short-run and long-run arrange and contours of the mission programme on electrical quality, its objectives, quantitative outcomes and roles & responsibilities of the assorted stakeholders.
